Do you take custom orders?
We do! Please check out our CUSTOMS page for details on how to place an order.
Do you require a deposit on custom orders?
Yes and No. We require a $1 non-refundable deposit at the time the custom order is placed. This is to prevent bots and spammers from flooding our site. Other than that, we do not require any sort of payment until the knife is ready to ship. The only exception is if we have to purchase exotic and expensive materials for the build (ex. Damascus steel, rare/vintage handle materials, etc.)
Where are your knives available for purchase?
You can find available knives right here in our STORE. You can also check out our online retailers (Blade HQ and GPKnives)
Do you ship internationally?
We do! If reside outside of the USA, please contact us before you place an order.
Are your knives made in the USA?
Yes! All of our knives are made in the USA. Every knife is made by hand in Troy, IL. We do our best to use American made materials, and support small American businesses.
Are your knives really handmade?
Yes. All of our knives are made and finished by hand. We occasionally use a water-jetting service to profile our blanks. This allows us to produce knives faster and at a lower price point for our consumers.
Who does your heat treat?
We do all of the heat treating in-house. This gives us ultimate control over the process and ensures our blades are of the highest quality.
Do the knives come with a sheath?
No. In our experience, our customers are very particular about their sheaths and we do not want to include a sheath that may not be satisfactory. We do offer sheaths from Jou-Fuu Leatherworks as an add-on on our SHEATHS page.
What types of steel do you offer?
Here at CCK, we use a variety of steels. Out favorite stainless steels include CPM MagnaCut, CPM S35VN, and occasionally AEB-L and Nitro-V. We also enjoy using carbon and tool steels such as O1, 8670, 80CRV2, CPM 3V and CPM Cruwear.
